Startups begin from nothing. You don't have to.

Your customers, your distribution, your data, your balance sheet and the trust you've spent decades earning are the advantages no startup can buy. Most companies leave them idle, or spend fortunes fighting new markets from zero. We build the vehicle that puts them to work.

Three products. One system.

01

Where to play.

We map the value spaces where your assets give you a right to win, and turn them into a portfolio of ventures worth building.

02

The studio.

We design and stand up the venture vehicle inside your company: governance, funding logic, team, cadence, and the method your people keep running after we leave.

03

The ventures.

We build and pilot the first ones, alone or with startup partners, and take them to the point where they earn their next round of funding on evidence.

We take on a small number of companies a year. By introduction or intake call.

Forward, by design.

Fram is Norwegian for forward. It was the ship built in 1892 for a voyage everyone said was impossible: to sail into the Arctic pack ice on purpose and let the current carry it across the top of the world. Every ship before it had fought the ice and been crushed. Fram was designed differently, with a rounded hull that let the ice lift it instead of break it, so the force that destroyed other vessels became the one that moved this one.

That is the principle the studio is named for. Companies spend fortunes fighting the forces around them. The ones that grow build vessels that use them.

Studio Fram was founded by Louis Repain after nine years building ventures inside ING Group, Cargill, Versuni and PVH, and opening the Gulf market for a European venture builder. He runs the studio with a small team of operators who have each built and led ventures themselves. Norwegian and French, working across Europe and the Middle East.
